Derby City Espresso is Louisville’s first espresso, beer and tea bar.  DCE is like no other business in Louisville in that it has no employees and is completely operated by it’s owner, who also lives in the large storefront.  It also happens to be the only coffee shop in Louisville that doesn’t open in the morning or serve decaf coffee. What DCE does, however, it does well – the menu includes some two dozen classic Italian style espresso drinks, more than 50 craft beers and over 50 varieties of loose leaf tea. Open late on the weekends Derby City Espresso also books more music than just about any other venue in the city.

Derby City Espresso is located at 331 E. Market St. between NuLu and Louisville’s Central Business District and adjacent to Louisville Slugger Field.
